Ohio car title transfers
Selling a car privately in Ohio? The seller's assignment on the back of the title must be signed in front of a notary or deputy clerk. I can meet you and the buyer together so the sale is finished in one stop.
- Bring the original paper title and a photo ID for each seller
- Don't sign the title before we meet
- Sign exactly as your name appears on the front of the title
- Have the odometer reading and sale price ready
Hospital, rehab, and senior living visits
When a parent or loved one needs a power of attorney or health care directive signed, I come to the bedside. The signer must be alert and able to understand what they're signing, and must sign willingly. Please call ahead so I can confirm facility visiting rules and what ID is available.
What to have ready
- Current government-issued photo ID for every signer
- Your complete, unsigned document
- Any witnesses your document requires (I can't serve as both notary and witness)
Questions
How much does a mobile notary cost in Ohio?
Ohio sets the notary fee at $5 per notarial act. Travel is a separate fee, always quoted and agreed on before the appointment.
Can you come the same day?
Often, yes. Call or text 614-259-7501 and I'll tell you the earliest available time.
Do you provide witnesses?
Not as a standard service. Some documents need witnesses who aren't the notary, so please bring them or let me know ahead of time.
Will you come to my home?
For accessibility needs, hospital, and senior living visits, yes. Otherwise most mobile appointments happen at a convenient public spot.
